You will experience a day in the life of a beekeeper as you learn all about honeybees and their behaviors, then see the bees at work. Join Dry Creek Beekeeping’s Beekeeper as he guides you through the fascinating lives of bees and how they make honey. You’ll sample 3 types of honey, then suit up in a beekeeping suit, hood, and gloves, to safely peek inside the hive. This hour-and-a-half hands-on tour is held at Dry Creek Beekeeping 489 South Clark Lane, Elizabeth, IL (near Galena). Redeemable mid-May 2026 – mid-August 2026 during available tour dates, found at www.drycreekbeekeeping.com. Items can be collected after you check out, after the live auction. If you are not attending the Gala, you may pick up your items at The Galena Center for the Arts.
A note from Galena Center for the Arts: Welcome to our 3rd Annual Galena Center for the Arts Fundraising Gala. Our Gala is "Embrace the Experience," which is reflected in many of our auction items. Our online and in-person auction is raising money to support our arts programming, fund building upkeep, and keep the Center running. All auction proceeds will be directed to support these needs and fund the Center's operations. Item delivery: Thank you for being so supportive of the Galena Center for the Arts! After you have paid for any auction items that you won, items must be picked up either on the night of the auction at the event at Eagle Ridge Inn and Resort or at the Galena Center for the Arts, 971 Gear Street, Galena, Thursday - Sunday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Item pick up should occur before November 1, 2025. Items will not be mailed. Please get in touch with the Center at 815-402-3111 if an extension of time for pick up is needed; otherwise, items not picked up by the deadline may be donated back to the Center to use for future auctions.
