“Bee-come” a Beekeeper Experience for Two Adults Join Chase Dittmar, of Galena’s Dry Creek Beekeeping to put on your own beekeeping suit, hood, and gloves, to experience what it is like to work with the bees. You and a friend will get to experience a day in the life of a beekeeper as you utilize the smoker to calm the bees, open a hive and try to find the queen, and learn all about bees and their behaviors. You will also sample Dry Creek Beekeeping’s honey to taste what the bees produce, and you will get to take home one jar of raw, local honey. This hands-on tour is guided by an experienced beekeeper, and you will learn so much about these small but mighty creatures. A note from Galena Center for the Arts: Welcome to the 10th anniversary gala auction for the Galena Center for the Arts!
Our theme for this event is "Embrace the Experience," which you will see reflected in many of our auction items. Our online and in-person auction is raising money to support our arts programming, completion of our new building's renovation, and the purchase of signage for the Center along Highway 20 to make us more visible for visitors. All auction proceeds will go directly to support these needs.

After you have paid for any auction items that you won, items must be picked up either on the night of the auction at the event at Eagle Ridge Inn and Resort, or at the Galena Center for the Arts, 971 Gear Street, Galena, Thursday - Sunday from 1:00-4:00 p.m.. Item pick up should occur prior to November 1, 2023. Items will not be mailed. Please contact the Center at 815-402-3111 if an extension of time for pick up is needed, otherwise, items not picked up by the deadline may be donated back to the Center to use for future auctions.
